One hour, one-on-one at 10th Planet HQ in Downtown LA. Bring your questions — leave with a system.
The engineer
who chose the mat
A computer engineer with a limited athletic background — now Eddie Bravo’s leg-lock guy.
Avi Cohn is a self-described computer engineer with a limited athletic background who started training in 2014 — and out-studied the room. What began as a curiosity turned into a specialty: the mechanics of the lower body, the systems no one wants to defend.
Today he teaches leg locks at Eddie Bravo’s 10th Planet HQ in Downtown LA, and serves as head coach of the USC BJJ club. Eddie calls him his leg lock expert. Students call him the professor.
The approach is exactly what you’d expect from an engineer: break the position into its parts, understand why each piece works, and drill it until the whole system is automatic. No mystique — just leverage, structure, and reps.
